UH Wine Toasters Club!

Last Wednesday, we had a group from the University of Hawaii come in for some wine education and tasting! The UH Wine Toasters Club stopped in with about 25 people. After bottling their Washington Pinot Gris and Spanish Tempranillo/Cabernet, everyone sat down for a little lesson on wine tasting and grapes by none other than John and Shannon. This is the third time we've had the club in, and it's always a great experience every time. At the end, everyone left with a bottle of wine and a bunch of wine smarts!

Random wine fact of the day:

One bottle of wine contains about 2.8 lbs. of grapes!! Can't really grasp that? It's equivalent to about 630 grapes in one bottle!

Our brand new blog!

Wine the Experience is proud to announce our very own blog -- a barrel of random wine tidbits, featured wines, tips, and bottling parties we host at our location! Check back often for something fresh and delicious from the grapevine!

Today's featured wine is our Premier Estate Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon:

Yeager's Vineyard. Alexander Valley AVA.
Hundreds of feet above the Russian River, grown on well-drained rocky soils and west-facing sun drenched slopes, producing intensely flavored thick skinned berries with power and elegance. Bright wild blackberry and black currant dominate this wine, backed up by evolving layers of flavors - warm vanilla, pepper spice, roasted cedar, smoke, baked rhubarb and dark chocolate shavings carry through to the dry, pleasingly lingering tanning finish.

Yummmm. Come down to our store for a taste of this lovely wine!
